Clement Venter – Director & Principal Engineer

Clement Venter brings over 21 years of experience in the Australian and South African electrical industries. As Director of Venn Power, he combines deep technical expertise with innovation and a strong commitment to safety and excellence. He is a regular contributor to industry knowledge, presenting technical papers at conferences on topics spanning power systems, transformer diagnostics, and renewable energy regulations.

Clement has led the delivery of complex projects that set industry benchmarks, from substation design and solar PV to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). His pioneering work includes a unique Power Factor Correction controller and the first automatic capacitor balancing unit of its kind – solutions that had eluded market leaders. He also developed Australia’s first Double Rapid Earth Fault Current Limiter and Combined Neutral Bus Bar Management system, and contributed to national standards for voltage transformer accuracy.

With a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in progress at the University of Queensland, Clement leads Venn Power’s team with strategic vision, fostering a culture of precision, collaboration, and future-focused engineering.

Clement holds a comprehensive set of professional registrations and credentials, recognised across Australia and internationally. These reflect both the depth of his technical formation and his ongoing commitment to the highest standards of engineering practice.

He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust), the peak recognition of sustained excellence and contribution to the profession, and holds Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status. His work is further recognised through the National Engineering Register (NER) and at an international level through the APEC Engineer Register and registration as an International Professional Engineer (IntPE(Aus)).

In Australia, Clement holds active state registrations in both Queensland and Victoria:

• Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
• Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV)
